Congratulations to Joshua Weitz (Biology/Clark Leadership Chair), who co-authored a paper published in Science this week. Weitz and his collaborators at UC San Diego set bacteria and viruses together in a closed laboratory flask to study coevolution in action. To their surprise, in only three weeks, distinct evolutionary patterns emerged.
